[APWW-Meet] the correct name of TW2
Welcome to the APWW-Meet
An announcement list of the Asia Pacific Women Watch network
working for the advancement of the status of women.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------
Dear Luz,
I will have other comments regarding the minutes and the
NGO Forum structure. But for the moment, I would be happy
if you could make the following corrections before the
mistakes get more widely distributed.
One, the name of my organization.
the correct name is Thai Women Watch.
Unlike Asia Pacific Women's Watch and Japan Women's Watch,
our name does not contain "'s" and it was not an oversight,
there is a reason for that. We deliberated for a long time
whether to put it in or not and decided against it. we
believe the meanings are slightly different and we prefer
the one without "'s".
It was spelt as Thai Woman Watch (for the vice-chair) and
as Thai Women's Watch (for the host committee)
Two, Sumalee's title is "Thanpuying" not thampuying
thank you very much. We have been wanting to correct this
for a long time but did not want to bother you with it but
now that it is going to be disseminated over the region as
part of the NGO Forum publicity, we think it should be
straightened out.
regards,
pawadee
